The "Sonnenreich" flat on the upper floor of the Art Nouveau villa offers 66 m² (approx. 710 sq ft) of space and can accommodate up to 4 people. It is no coincidence that we have named this flat as such, as the two balconies with seating areas on the east and west sides of the house allow our guests to enjoy the sun all day long.
It has a bedroom with a box-spring bed, a living room with a fold-out box-spring sofa-bed, a kitchen with a dining area for four people, and a bathroom. In the stairwell on the same floor, there is a small library with books, DVDs and board games, which all guests staying in the house are welcome to use.
The kitchen is fitted with crockery from Villeroy & Boch, cutlery from WMF, cookware from Fissler, and electrical appliances from Liebherr, Siemens and Gastroback.
A bicycle storage room with CCTV is available on request for storing bicycles and e-bikes. Please let us know before you arrive so that we can grant you access to the storage room.
The holiday flat is equipped with two Panasonic HD flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, a Yamaha soundbar, free Wi-Fi with high-speed internet, and a digital entry system with personalised door codes.
Check-in is from 4:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am at the latest.
Enjoy your stay in this beautiful historic Art Nouveau villa, built in 1926. It is ideally situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of Merzig and offers views of the adjacent Fellenberg Castle and the Garden of the Arts. The villa was lovingly renovated and refurbished in 2021 and now – 100 years after it was built – offers our guests the very latest in modern comforts.
Supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, cafés and the pedestrianised area with its attractive shops are all within a few minutes’ walk. In the immediate vicinity of the holiday villa of Saar-Apartments, culture enthusiasts can visit Fellenberg Castle Museum and Paul Schneider’s sculpture park, St Peter’s, the largest surviving Romanesque church, and Fellenberg Mill. The Stadthalle Merzig and the town park are approximately 1 kilometre away, the railway station 1.5 kilometres and the motorway 2 kilometres. The Werner Freund Wolf Park is just 3.5 kilometres away.
