The journey time by car to Trier is around 40 to 45 minutes; by train, it takes around 40 minutes. The direct train to Koblenz via Trier runs alongside the rivers Saar and Moselle. How do I get from Merzig to Luxembourg?

Travelling by bus is recommended. Bus routes 404, 405 or 407 provide a reliable transport link. The parking situation in Luxembourg and the free local public transport within Luxembourg itself make the bus service particularly attractive. Furthermore, the half-hourly service from Merzig to Luxembourg, running from 5.00 am to 8.00 pm, offers a high degree of flexibility. If you’re looking for an even more flexible option, you can drive to Nennig Zoll and take the bus to Luxembourg from there. The Saar-Apartments at Annastraße 22 in Merzig are the best option for stays of three nights or more. They are centrally located yet quiet, on a cul-de-sac. Merzig town centre is just a five-minute walk away. The Saar-Apartments are not suitable for a short stay of just one or two nights. In that case, we recommend one of the hotels in Merzig.

Where is a motorhome site in Merzig?

The paid motorhome sites are located on the outskirts of Merzig. The sites by the swimming pool are at ground level but offer no shade. If, after a long time, you’d like to spend the night in a cosy bed again and do a full load of washing, the Saar-Apartments in Merzig are a better choice. Whilst there aren’t any parking spaces as such here, there are three holiday flats equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a comfortable box-spring bed. They’re ideal for a short three-day stay to rest up before continuing your journey.

What are the check-in and check-out times at the Saar-Apartments?

Check-in is normally at 4.00 pm. If you’d like to check in earlier, this is possible at 12.00 pm or even 8.00 am on request and for an additional charge. Check-out is normally at 10:00. However, if you’d like to check out later, you can do so at 14:00 or 18:00 upon request and for an additional charge.

Can I store and charge my bikes securely at Saar-Apartments?

You can store and charge your bikes free of charge in the Saar-Apartments bike storage room. You should lock your bikes in the bike storage room, but please note that the room is also under CCTV surveillance.
